Adding Powerpoints
Below I have added a powerpoint. To do this, go to the left panel and scroll to "Scribed Document," then drag it to the space you want it to appear. You will then get the message, "This is a blank document. To upload a new document, click here and select Upload new file." Choose extra large so your reader can easily see what your powerpoint is. Then you will get a prompt to upload a file from your computer. You may get a message that says, "Document Converting. Sorry, cannot display this document." Don't panic, just allow the powerpoint to finish loading. If after a few minutes it does not load, then you need to save your powerpoint using less space. To do this:
Remember to click the blue "Publish" button in the upper right corner to save your changes!
- Launch PowerPoint and open the file you want to reduce in size. ...
- Compress pictures in your PowerPoint presentation by selecting the image, clicking on the "Picture Tools: Format" tab and clicking "Compress Picture." ...
- Click on the "File" tab and select "Save As."
Remember to click the blue "Publish" button in the upper right corner to save your changes!
Adding Buttons
Buttons can be used to link to websites or videos. To load a website or video as a button, just drag the Button feature over to the page where you want it to be. Then where it prompts "Button Text," type what you want the button to say. (I usually put a shortened title of the website or video here.) Once you've done that, use the back arrow in the pop up button box to go back to where the button options are. Choose "Link" and then paste in the link you want the button to take users to. Use the back arrow in the pop up window again, click off of the window, and then click "Publish!"
Adding YouTube Videos
To load a YouTube video, simply scroll down on the left menu of options to the "YouTube" icon. Drag it over to the place in your page you want the video to open. A background picture will shop up with a link. In the area of the link paste in the link of the YouTube video. Click outside of the video space and then click "Publish!"
